Celebrity Private Investigator to the Stars Returns to South Africa
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 21, 2008 -- Celebrity Private Investigator to the Stars, Rick Crouch, is returning to South Africa on April 22, 2008.
Mr. Crouch is a South African citizen, he went to Mansfield High School in Durban South Africa. In 1985 he left South Africa for the United States due to his opposition to the apartheid policies of the government.
While in the United States Mr. Crouch has become a very successful businessman, founding and running I.F.R.S. Group, Inc, the most successful private investigation agency in Los Angeles. Mr. Crouch's clients consist mainly of politicians and celebrities. Many are also good personal friends of his. Hence his being known as "PI to the Stars". Some of the well known cases that Mr. Crouch has been involved with are: Scott Peterson murder trial, Michael Jackson molestation trial, and others.
Mr. Crouch is returning to South Africa to move his businesses to South Africa and to be actively involved in the political process, he is a supporter of the Democratic Alliance and believes that the Democratic Alliance is the only hope for the future of South Africa. He feels that there are a number of things that can be done to improve the conditions in South Africa.
"The current ANC government is too corrupt and entrenched in the old way of doing things, people too easily revert to saying, 'well that's Africa'. I say, no! We can and should be different, it's not that hard...just start thinking about the country instead of yourselves, start throwing some of these corrupt, criminal politicians in prison, the people of South Africa deserve a government that works," said Mr Crouch when asked his opinion on the current South African government.
"The government should get out of the business of doing business. Government should concentrate its efforts on protecting its citizens from criminals and enemies, foreign and domestic, not being concerned about its business stake in power companies, airlines, telephone companies, broadcasters, etc. Furthermore, monopolies of any kind should be eliminated, Escom, Telkom and others should have competitors. Competition will make the companies better and more responsive to it's customers. The consumer wins with better service and cheaper products," said Mr. Crouch. He added, "Something else that needs to be addressed is the government 'fixing' of the fuel price, petrol and diesel. The market should decide the price of fuel, you should be able to see two petrol stations on opposite corners of the street, one with a lower price than the other, this will encourage competition and lower prices. You lower the price of petrol and diesel and the price of everything will be lower because the lower cost of transporting the product will translate to lower prices to the consumer."
When asked about the current crime problem in South Africa Mr. Crouch responded with, "Firstly we need police officers that want to serve the people and want to be police officers, there are many good police officers out there but there are just as many corrupt officers, and do not dismantle crime fighting units that work. The DSO (Scorpions) has been very successful in fighting organized and street crime, but their success in uncovering corrupt politicians seems to be their downfall, a fine example of what this government does when you do your job well. We should do everything we can to let the government know that we are demanding they do something about the crime. You know it's a problem when the South African Ambassador to the UN gets robbed at gunpoint at a relative's home in Johannesburg."
When asked if he had a message for the South African Expats around the world he responded with, "Firstly I would ask anyone considering leaving the country to reconsider as they are playing right into the hands of the ANC government, and to those who have already left I would implore them to consider returning home and being part of turning this country around. Almost all the South Africans that have left would have been a vote against the ANC. That is why the government makes it so hard for citizens wanting to return home and is so willing to see them leave. Come home please!"
Mr. Crouch has been profiled in Who's Who in Southern Africa, http://www.whoswhosa.co.za/Pages/profilefull.aspx?IndID=8400, and Who's Who in America. Among the many awards received by Mr. Crouch are: Citizen of the Year, Businessman of the Year, Congressional Order of Merit, National Leadership Award, Regan Congressional Committee Nominee and more.
Because of Rick Crouch's celebrity status and prominence in the investigation community in California, he has appeared on American TV shows like: The Investigators, Bounty Hunters and Fugitive Strike Force, to name but a few.
Mr. crouch worked tirelessly over the years garnering support for American politicians that were "friendly" to South Africa and its needs, and keeping South Africa in the spotlight in the international and American media.
Mr. Crouch will be arriving in Johannesburg on April 23, 2008 at 21:10 and then traveling on to Durban on April 24, 2008.
